Hanshi Dr. Mario Arthur was born in Port-Au-Prince Haiti and migrated to the United States at the age of 8 where he was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He opened his first dojo in 1973. He had the honor to work and train with some of the best Martial Artists in the world, one of which a friend and mentor Master Thomas Lapuppet Carrol. They traveled the world together attending seminars, competitions, and training in various martial arts forms. He also worked with some of New York’s best well-known Martial Artists. He has represented the USA as an official in many Local, National, International and World Championships.

With 62 years of experience in disciplines such as Judo, Kyokushin-Kai, Aikido, Shotokan, Kendo, Tai-Chi, Tae-Kwon-Do and countless others. Hanshi Dr. Mario Arthur has made it his mission to inspire personal growth, resilience, and cultural understanding through martial arts.
Having taught workshops, seminars, and training camps in various countries or, including 30 years promoting the art in Africa, Hanshi Dr. Mario Arthur blends traditional techniques with modern teaching methods to cater to diverse students, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Their approach emphasizes not just physical skill but also mental focus, respect, and the values intrinsic to martial arts.
